ATTN: STAYMOBILE CUSTOMERS

If your district is impacted by the recent closing of Staymobile, Lexicon is offering transition plans to help with short- and long-term needs. Contact us at  alwayslearning@lexiconK12.com .

Welcome back to AlwaysLearning, your quarterly bulletin from Lexicon K12 Tech Solutions. We’ve been uber busy since we last met, going through analysis, attending conferences, expanding our warehouse, bringing on new partners and districts, and making A+ grades. Let’s jump in!

WE FIX (ALMOST) ANYTHING

We still get a chuckle out of the damaged devices sent our way. We particularly like the problem description for this particular device: “Laptop is destroyed.” 😂  When you get right down to it, they’re not wrong.

VIDEO SPOTLIGHT

Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is one of the largest districts in the nation. Executive Director of Information Technology Femi Aina turned to Lexicon Tech Solutions to help ease the burden on his team for deployment, servicing, spare pool, and warranty of one-to-one devices. Without Lexicon, he estimates he would have had to hire at least a dozen additional people. Tune in to hear Director Aina’s advice to other districts managing devices and vendor partners, and why he trusts Lexicon to ensure no student is ever left without working technology.

EVERY DISTRICT A SUCCESS STORY

This could be you! If you’re a current Lexicon customer and want to share your story, contact us at alwayslearning@lexiconK12.com.

A BIG DEAL

80’s hair, super-size fries, and now this: the Lexicon Atlanta facility just got BIGGER. We busted through walls to transform our former 50,000 s.f. of space into 75,000. This gives us additional space to store the many bulk parts we order in advance to ensure rapid turnaround times for repairs. And, with the addition of the space and even more A+ certified repair techs and team members, we’re looking at faster deployments of up to 5,000 devices/day.

MEET THE LEXICON DRIVERS

We grabbed some of the Lexicon truck drivers for a quick Q&A about who they are, what they like, and what people may be surprised to know. If you’re fortunate enough to have any of these gentlemen servicing your district, take a minute to get to know them!

MAKING THE GRADE

Remember when your mom used to put your report card on the fridge? Our fridge isn’t big enough to hold all the certificates, awards, and honors our repair technicians have received, so we gave them their own wall. Lexicon employs CompTia A+ certified technicians, as well as IPC-A-610 Certified Soldering Specialists who perform board level rework and repair. Every technician is certified on every device model they support. Lexicon’s micro-electronics technicians receive an IPC certification in Advanced SMT/BGA Rework. Lexicon employs micro-electronics technicians certified in Advanced BGA/CSP Rework and IPC certified in Advanced X-Ray Inspection and Interpretation. Overall, our technicians hold a total of 14 individual certifications. Just call us proud parents.
