FLAT RATE repairs FAQ

WHAT IS A FLAT RATE REPAIR PROGRAM?

A flat-rate repair program provides repair services for a predetermined cost for devices that are already broken. This is an ideal way to try out Lexicon and catch up on the pool of broken devices that you haven’t been able to get around to repairing.

For repairable devices, Lexicon repairs all reported and unreported issues for one predetermined price. We offer “RapidRepair Packs” whereby districts may pre-purchase a set number of flat rate repairs – 10, 20, 50 etc. – that never expire.

We work with all device makes and models – Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Apple. If you have questions about your devices, we encourage you to contact us at alwayslearning@lexiconk12.com.

Yes, all shipping (pick-up and delivery) costs are included in the price of our flat rate repairs. You will not be billed separately or incur additional charges for shipping.

There is no minimum number of devices required. However, we can offer discounted flat rate repair pricing for shipments of 10 or more devices, simply due to shipping costs. Contact us at alwayslearning@lexiconk12.com for a quote.

Absolutely. Although we typically are able to offer our lowest pricing for 10 or more devices shipped, we’re happy to offer the same low pricing on your first couple of devices in order for you to experience our shipping process, fast turn times, and repair quality firsthand.

Lexicon adheres to the strict quality standards of ISO 9001:2015 and MSD JEDEC STD-033C. WE are also ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) certified, which adds to the longevity of your devices.

All repairs are performed in-house by Lexicon’s certified repair technicians. We are driven by procedural standards with a total of 14 individual certifications held by our technicians and engineers. Our repair techs receive over 100 hours of in-house supervised training and are certified on every device model they support. In addition, Lexicon techs receive three (3) months of QA department reviews for completed repairs after their certification. Lead technicians are A+ certified.

All devices go through a diagnostic review to determine repair eligibility. Any devices that exhibit any of the below faults that cannot be repaired will be charged a diagnostic fee of $25.00 and returned to the district. (No charge for shipping.)

Defective main logic board
Physically Damaged
Damaged due to liquid ingress
Frankensteining or installing some additional defective parts

We stand behind our work with 25+ years of precision repairs and proven processes. Our repair facility is ISO 9001:2015 certified and our technicians are certified on the devices they repair. We also have decades of analytics working for us, to help identify potential OEM defect issues to save your district time and money.
